We're looking for a design lead who we can count on to…
- own: product feel, visual and interactive product elements, comprehensive user experience with product, user needs, design system, design processes, visual identity of the Fanhouse brand, creative direction
- teach: guide users intuitively through the product experience, formalize to the team what user personas are thriving on Fanhouse, show the team what unmet creator and fan needs are not currently being serviced by the product
- learn: discover core motivations and needs for fans and creators, deeply understand target user personas, become an expert with the product and competing products and how our brand reflects our positioning
- improve: user experience, product features, quantitative and qualitative user experience research methods, long term product direction, cohesion across product and brand, creative style across graphics and videos

you'll...
- Familiarize with the current product feature set and what needs we currently serve
- Help prioritize and spec new features, creating wireframes and prototypes that will go into production within 1-2 weeks
- Manage team of 2 product designers
- Maintain a design system and help engineering integrate and roll out new priority components
- Interview and assess new product design candidates
- Spend time with creators and fans identifying motivations and core needs that could be served by new product directions
- Creative directing for graphics, videos, merchandise and more
- Deep dive on branding and messaging, aligning that with the product, sales, and marketing
- Train new product design hires
- Collaborate with multiple cross functional teams such as marketing, sales, support and engineering
- Solidify design-engineering process loops
- Maintain and expand Fanhouse’s design, branding, and styling systems, guides, documentation, processes
- Lead high-level product design, creative, and visual identity decisions, potentially as a design executive
- Measure outcomes of design choices using quantitative means
- Help to hire other design leaders
- Collaborate with founders and other executives to analyze product features, branding, and user satisfaction + retention
You’d be a great fit if you:
- Have 4-10+ years in product design (illustration/graphic design, visual/brand design a plus)
- Care deeply about creators and creator-centric communities
- Are excited about the combo of doing IC work + managing a small team
- Have a track record of scaling design systems + processes in ambiguous environments, early stage startups, new product launches, and/or small design teams
